Peter Sage – President

Peter made his way from surveying to construction more than twenty years ago. Starting with local renovation design, he was instrumental in designing and overseeing the restoration and construction of several luxury Inns across Ontario, including the Glenerin Inn in Mississauga, Idlewyld Inn in London and The Merrill Inn in Picton. After establishing a mechanical contracting business in Markham, Peter returned to the Quinte area in 1989 and together with longtime friend and engineer Paul Elliott, formed their residential design and construction business, becoming Elliott Sage & Associates Inc. Together they began changing the landscape of Picton and the surrounding area. Paul Elliott soon left to pursue other opportunities in the auto industry. Under Peter’s vision, commitment and guidance, Elliott Sage has since become Quinte’s most recognized and trusted, quality custom home builder and renovator. Peter thoroughly embraces a project and is passionate about all aspects of each and every job. He builds not only homes, but long lasting relationships with his clients. Peter is committed to creative, sustainable design and embraces emerging new green technologies in every project.

Elia Gallo – CA, Chief Financial Officer

Elia graduated with a Bachelor of Administrative Studies from York University in 1989, and then became a Chartered Accountant in 1992. He worked in a large accounting firm in Toronto during the 90's before coming to the Quinte area.

In 2004 Elia joined the Elliott Sage team. He oversees all financial and accounting functions for the company and its various divisions. Elia wears many hats at Elliott Sage keeping the company running smoothly. He lives in the County with his wife and three sons.

Kathy Cobb – Operations Manager

Kathy is one of the first faces a client sees when visiting the offices of Elliott Sage.. Kathy’s enthusiasm and friendliness instill confidence with potential clients and she makes them feel right at home. For 10 years Kathy has brought a vast array of corporate business experience to the day-to-day and long term operations of Elliott Sage. A team player in the company, she provides seamless administrative support as well as helps to plan and implement strategies to continue to up-hold the philosophy and image of Elliott Sage in building quality and trust. She is passionate about her work and has been instrumental in helping develop the company to its present standard of excellence.

Heidi Kriens – Guildcrest Homes Manager

Heidi is the face you immediately associate with our Guildcrest Factory Built Homes Division. She begins by helping clients find the right home for them, then manages their building project from start to completion. She works closely with her construction team exclusively dedicated to building Guildcrest homes. Heidi’s 20 year’s of experience in construction, estimating, drafting, engineering, design and training transcends all facets of the building process. Her quiet confidence puts clients at ease.

Heidi also finds time to enjoy her family and renovate her own home in Prince Edward County.

Dan Bisnaire – B. Arch, Senior Designer

Dan has a Bachelor of Architecture from Carleton University and a Diploma in Industrial Design from Humber College. For many years Dan worked in Markham and Ottawa designing architectural projects ranging from custom homes, large renovations, interior design and government projects. Dan has been the principal designer with Elliott Sage Design & Construction for many years. You will see his beautiful impressive homes in the Gallery of Homes section.

Andy Spry – Senior Architectural Technician

Andy is an Architectural Technician with a diploma from Algonquin College. At Elliott Sage he works closely with the principal designer creating working drawings from conceptual designs of the custom built homes, renovations and additions. He also works on historical restorations. Andy works with clients from the initial design stage helping them make the detailed interior selections and liaises with the site supervisors to help construction go smoothly.

Andy lives in Belleville with his wife and son.

Christy Mitchell - Building Design Technician

Christy graduated from Loyalist College with a diploma in Architectural Technology. She has worked in the custom home and modular building market since leaving school. At Elliott Sage, Christy works closely with the other technicians drafting the conceptual designs of our custom homes and renovations projects.

Christa Brough - Building Design Technician

Christa graduated with Honours from Loyalist College in the Architectural Technology Program. She worked at Loyalist College in the planning department performing drafting of renovations and project costing. She has come to Elliott Sage with an array of experience in the building of modular and custom homes. An intricate part of the design team, Elliott Sage relies on Christa to draft the renovations and custom homes.

Mark Higgs - Master Licensed Electrician

Mark has over 24 years experience in the electrical trade in residential and commercial construction, as well as modular home wiring. He is also experienced in water treatment equipment and installation, drainage, heating and cooling systems, in-floor heating systems and alternative energy such as solar. He is the dedicated safety coordinator for Elliott Sage, arranging safety training and the purchase of safety equipment. Elliott Sage is licensed by the Electrical Safety Authority, #7002063

David Beilby - Property Manager

With 17 years of experience in property management David is currently managing a portfolio of properties for Elliott Sage. From repairs to maintenance, safety and security, David puts our clients at ease. He is certified with the Institute of Housing Management and also has a Class A Mechanical license. His time is currently shared with our water treatment division, Purtek Environmental, the area’s authorized Kinetico Dealer, provides sales and service.

David and his wife have been enthusiastically renovating their own home in Prince Edward County.

Dave Hirtz – Service Manager

Dave is an experienced carpenter who started his career at a young age. At just 16 he was already learning custom framing. Now 23 years later he has added to his experiences with dry walling, painting, roofing and renovations. When he joined the Elliott Sage team he worked for the Guildcrest Division. Currently Dave applies his skill set to sales and service for Elliott Sage working closely with David Beilby assisting the Property Management Division with service, warranty and sales.

Steve Claxton - Site Supervisor

Steve has worn many hats at Elliott Sage, coordinating both large and small projects. He is currently a site supervisor working on renovations and additions. He began his building career as an apprentice carpenter and holds a journeyman's ticket for carpentry. Steve has built many homes and a shopping center as well.

Steve recently built a Guildcrest home of his own in Prince Edward County, which he shares with his wife and children.

Eric Tripp - Site Supervisor

From custom framing to exterior siding, Eric works side by side with his building team making sure projects meet the budget and finish on schedule. A veteran in the building industry with over 25 years experience, Eric makes sure our client’s homes are built with the utmost care and quality. He is an effective communicator who always keeps clients informed of the progress along the way. He is a certified supervisor and authorized Arxx installer.

Eric lives with his wife and two sons in Prince Edward County.

John Vandervoort- Site Supervisor

John gets things done. Supervising and working along side his team, John is responsible for building the custom designed homes at Elliott Sage. Liaising closely with the design team, he makes sure the project is running smoothly, and keeps clients informed of the progress of their home. Knowledgeable in all facets of the building industry, Elliott Sage relies on John’s expertise to meet budgets, stay on schedule and apply the quality and care required in building our client’s dream homes.

Deborah Yabsley – Town Hill Place Site Supervisor

Deborah has recently joined the Elliott Sage team coming to us from Newfoundland. She is an effective communicator and knowledgeable in all facets of the building process. She is therefore, invaluable and instrumental in the building of our new town home development in Picton, Town Hill Place. Her past work experience showcases her many talents and expertise. Deborah has facilitated the building of many homes, performing a wide array of tasks from administrative to sales and supervising projects. She has a Diploma in Architectural Engineering Technology.

Geoff Martin – Estimator, Purchaser

From windows to wood, Geoff knows a thing or two about building a house from the ground up. He joins the Elliott Sage team and offers a unique perspective to the building of homes as an estimator/purchaser. His working experience and vast knowledge of building materials and the requirements for creating a quality custom home have made Geoff a valuable asset. He is involved from the beginning of a project right through to the end, liaising with the design build team and also the clients, making sure that all their needs are met.
